Many residents ask what their Meridian Township taxes are for. We are a welcoming community that celebrates quality education, recreation and lifestyles. ![]() Other governmental units also receive tax money from Meridian Township, according to the district’s tax rate. Meridian Township welcomes visitors from surrounding areas to its vibrant business districts, over 906 acres of parks and natural areas and to the largest lake within 25 miles of the State Capitol, Lake Lansing. The Board is responsible for enacting ordinances, allocation and approval of budget, levying millage and other items authorized by State Statute. In Meridian Township, these include Okemos, Haslett, East Lansing, Williamston, Ingham Intermediate Schools, and Lansing Community College. The current Board member's office commenced on Novemand will expire on November 20, 2024. The Supervisor chairs the Township Board meetings and the Board appoints a Township Manager to oversee Township operations.īoard members elected, serve four-year terms in the Presidential Election year.
